What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is an XML based service designed
for sharing information such as news and publications. It consists of a
headline, a description of the content, and link to the page where the content
is located.
How to make use of our RSS Feeds
In order to use our RSS feeds, you need to have a piece of software called a
RSS Reader, or RSS Aggregator. This software allows you to view the RSS feeds
in a similar way to which your e-mail software works - as soon as a new item is
available on the feed, you will be automatically notified, just like getting a
new e-mail in your inbox.
There are plenty of free RSS Aggregators out there on the internet. Some you
download and install on your machine, others work in a similar way to web-based
e-mail (such as Yahoo Mail or MSN Hotmail).
Once you have chosen the Aggregator you wish to use, you're ready to start
making use of the Mirabaud Securities RSS Service. Whenever you see a page with
this symbol:
it means that the page has a RSS feed that you can subscribe to.
In order to subscribe to the feed, you need to click on the above icon when you
see it on a page. This will redirect you to the page containing the RSS feed.
Then, by following the instructions within your specific RSS aggregator, copy
and paste the address of the RSS feed into the subscribe section of your RSS
reader. If all goes well, you will then be able to access the feed.
Alternatively, if you are using Internet Explorer version 7, then you will be able
to subscribe to the Feed directly through your web browser just by clicking on the
RSS symbol.
